You receive the shipment and have 30 days to inspect. Protect+ orders get 90 days.

You release payment
Once you confirm everything is right, you release the escrow. If there is a dispute, we mediate and escrow stays frozen.

Your payment is held by a licensed, regulated third-party escrow agent, completely separate from Backper's own accounts. The agent releases funds to the supplier only after you confirm receipt and approve the QC report. If you don't confirm within 30 days, the balance auto-refunds to you.
No. Escrow, pre-shipment QC, and the claims process are included on every Backper order at no extra charge. Protect+ which adds independent lab testing and a 90-day claim window is automatically applied, also free, on orders over $25,000.
Buyer remorse cancellations are not covered. If you change your mind after production has started, standard cancellation terms apply. Claims filed outside the window (30 days standard, 90 days Protect+) are also ineligible.
Standard orders have a 30-day claim window from the confirmed delivery date. Orders on Protect+ automatically applied to orders over $25,000 have an extended 90-day window.
Backper acts as the independent mediator. Your case manager reviews the QC report, photos, and both parties positions, then issues a binding resolution. Escrow stays frozen throughout the process.
