Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed with REDLIGHT GLOBAL LTD (“Backper”) through backper.com. We ship wholesale and bulk orders to over 180 countries worldwide.

1. Production & Lead Times

All products are manufactured to order. The following lead times apply from the date of deposit payment confirmation and approved artwork/specifications:

  • Sample Orders: Approximately 5–10 business days.
  • Standard Bulk Orders (50–499 units): Approximately 14–21 business days.
  • Large Bulk Orders (500+ units): Approximately 21–35 business days. Exact timelines provided in your pro-forma invoice.
  • Custom / Full-Customisation Orders: May require an additional 5–10 business days for sampling and approval.

Lead times are estimates only and not contractual guarantees. We will notify you promptly if production is expected to be delayed.

2. Shipping Methods & Carriers

We ship via internationally recognised express and freight carriers, including:

  • Express Courier: DHL Express, FedEx, UPS — typically used for sample orders and smaller shipments.
  • Air Freight: Used for medium-volume bulk orders requiring faster transit.
  • Sea Freight (FCL/LCL): Used for large-volume bulk orders to minimise cost. Transit times typically 15–45 days depending on destination.

The appropriate shipping method will be recommended based on your order volume, destination, and required delivery timeline. You may request a specific method and we will provide a cost comparison.

3. Incoterms & Risk Transfer

Unless otherwise agreed in writing on your pro-forma invoice, all shipments are made on the following basis:

  • EXW (Ex Works) or FOB (Free On Board): Risk in the goods transfers to the Buyer once the goods are handed to the freight carrier at our warehouse or nominated port.
  • Once goods have left our facility, Backper is not responsible for loss, damage, or delays caused by the carrier.
  • Buyers are strongly encouraged to arrange their own cargo insurance for all shipments.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are quoted separately on the pro-forma invoice and are based on order weight, volume, destination, and chosen shipping method. Shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the Buyer unless a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) arrangement has been explicitly agreed in writing.

For large bulk orders, we may recommend a freight forwarder or consolidator to optimise costs. Buyers are also free to nominate their own freight forwarder.

5. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

The Buyer is solely responsible for:

  • All import duties, customs fees, VAT, GST, or other taxes levied by the destination country.
  • Compliance with all applicable import regulations, product safety standards, and labelling requirements in the destination country.
  • Obtaining any required import licences or permits.

Backper will provide accurate commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin to support customs clearance. Refused or seized shipments due to the Buyer’s failure to comply with local regulations do not entitle the Buyer to a refund.

6. Tracking & Delivery Confirmation

Once your order has been dispatched, we will provide:

  • A shipping confirmation email with carrier name and tracking number.
  • An estimated delivery date based on carrier schedules.

For sea freight shipments, a Bill of Lading or Airway Bill will be issued. The Buyer is responsible for monitoring the shipment and arranging customs clearance and local delivery at the destination port.

7. Inspection on Arrival

Buyers are strongly advised to inspect all goods upon receipt and before signing any carrier delivery document. If goods arrive visibly damaged, note the damage on the delivery receipt and contact us at claims@backper.com within 7 calendar days of receipt with photographic evidence. Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted. See our Refund Policy for full details.

8. Delays & Force Majeure

Backper is not liable for shipping delays caused by:

  • Acts of God, natural disasters, or extreme weather events.
  • Port strikes, freight carrier disruptions, or customs backlogs.
  • Government actions, sanctions, pandemic restrictions, or war.
  • Any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will notify you as soon as possible of any significant delay and work with you to find an alternative solution.

9. Sanctions Compliance

Backper complies with all applicable UK and international trade sanctions and export control laws. We will not ship goods to sanctioned countries, entities, or individuals as designated by the UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI), the EU, or the UN Security Council. Orders placed by or on behalf of sanctioned parties will be refused and any payments received will be returned.
