Import Cost Calculator — Privacy Policy

The Promo Import Cost & Margin Calculator is a free Chrome extension published by Backper. It is a calculator: you open it from the browser toolbar, type figures into a form, and it shows you the landed cost per unit and the selling price of an imported promotional product order.

The short version

The extension collects nothing, sends nothing, and stores nothing outside your own browser.

Data we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, store or have any access to:

• personally identifiable information such as your name, address, email address or phone number
• health information
• financial or payment information
• authentication information such as passwords or credentials
• your personal communications
• your location
• your web browsing history
• your activity on any website
• the figures you enter into the calculator

Permissions

The extension requests no Chrome permissions and no host permissions. It cannot read, modify or observe any web page you visit, in any tab, at any time. It cannot see your browsing history or your open tabs.

Network activity

The extension makes no network requests of any kind. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking pixels, no advertising code and no third-party libraries. It works with your internet connection switched off.

Local storage

So that you do not have to retype your usual duty rate, VAT rate and freight figures every time, the extension saves the last values you entered using the browser's localStorage, inside the extension's own private storage area on your computer. This data never leaves your device and is not readable by any website or by us. Removing the extension deletes it. You can also clear it at any time with the Reset button inside the calculator.

Third parties

We share no data with third parties, because we hold none. No data is sold or transferred, and no data is used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Children

The extension is a business tool and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the extension ever changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the change will be disclosed in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
